Pets and people at the heart of what we do
Are you studying to become a vet or vet nurse, or are you enrolled on an animal care course if so Seeing Practice with PDSA gives you a host of benefits.
You will see a wider variety of interesting cases than in most general practices. Our PDSA Pet Hospitals have an annual case load of over 2 million treatments, because of the scope of our service and the range of pets we see, you can expect a broader experience than in most general practices.
You won’t just be observing experienced vets in action you will gain hands-on experience. Experienced veterinary students can expect to try their hand at minor operations, procedures and consulting. Our team are very welcoming and will be on hand to support you throughout your time with us. Our Pet hospitals, most of which are purpose built, use the latest equipment to be found in general practice (ECG, endoscopy, ultrasound, ASIF implants etc).
As the UK’s leading veterinary charity, with 51 Pet Hospitals and over 380 Pet Practices, we strive to improve pets’ lives – through prevention, education and treatment. Every year our dedicated vet teams carry out 2.7 million treatments on 470,000 pets. Our national network of over 150 high street shops help us to provide these treatments through selling both donated and new goods.
We believe that we work better together, so everyone from our vets, volunteers, shop teams and to our office support colleagues – we are driven in our dedication and passionate about pets. Join us and help improve the lives of every pet.
A yelping dog with broken leg. A crying cat with a sore paw. A listless bird that’s off its food. A stressed small furry that’s too scared to come out from hiding.
A sick and injured pet tugs at our heartstrings. Helping them back to health and seeing the happiness on their owner’s face is hugely satisfying. It’s about caring: seeing the real value of a loving relationship between pet and owner.
Every year 470,000 pets need our help with over 2.7 million treatments to stop them suffering from sickness, injury and to prevent them from dying. This makes PDSA the UK’s leading veterinary charity
We believe that we work better together, so everyone helps. From our vets and volunteers to our shop and office support staff – we are a dedicated team who are passionate about pets. Join us at PDSA and help improve the lives of every pet. Whoever you are, wherever you live and whatever you do – it helps make a difference – thank you.
