Temporary Animal Rescue Officer
The Scottish SPCA, Scotland’s animal welfare charity, is currently recruiting an Animal Rescue Officer to be based in Perth & Tayside and covering the surrounding areas on a fixed-term basis for a period of 3 months.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the 2013 Scottish Charity of the Year and make a real difference to the lives of the thousands of abused, abandoned and injured animals rescued by the Scottish SPCA each year.
The successful applicants will have practical experience of working with animals, a keen interest in animal welfare and excellent customer care skills. In addition, a good knowledge of the area would be beneficial. Candidates must also have a full driving licence.
The position will be working 37.5 hours per week within a group rota between the hours of 7.30am and 11pm, to include weekend work.
Please note that this position will require you to join the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme, as you will be required to conduct Educational Duties, thus part of this job is termed as a “childcare” position.
