This role will full time (part time will be   considered   too) floating around the 9 clinics in the hub to help cover holidays, sickness and provide an extra pair of hands in times of need in busy clinics. This is a varied role and so we are looking for someone who is able to easily adapt to work in different clinics each day. Every day will be different and you will work with a range of people and teams from Tongham to Fetcham. You will be taking part in the weekend rota working 1 Saturday or Sunday in 4 and bank holiday rota working 1 per year. Providing care for all animals in the Centre, establishing good customer relations and maintaining administration and health and safety procedures in use.   The role of an Animal Care Assistant is a physically demanding position.   The role: Cleaning of animal accommodation for all domestic species to the required standard set by the RSPCA. Prepare and provide food and water for all animals in the establishment. Perform regular health checks on all animals and give medical treatments as prescribed by the centres consulting Veterinary Surgeon. Attend to the needs of the individual animals including providing exercise/socialisation and grooming for all animal within the care of the centre. Completing all relevant animal paperwork and updating the centres computer data base for all animals held on site. You will need  Experience working with domestic animals. You will be an experienced Vet, perhaps with an interest in internal medicine and surgery.
